Trying to be ready

Well it has happened again. Winter is here and I just never feel ready. I have great intentions but I just don’t seem to make them into reality. You now have the snow plow ready, weather strips in all the cracks and gaps, even have the winter coat ready to go. Then it happens the first snow and I am looking for that coat and wondering when I will get the plow and chains on the mower.

So this year we at imagine this LLC are doing our best to help a little in getting families ready for Christmas. We are hosting “Kids Shop for Christmas”, which is a way for parents to bring their children in and we assign personal shoppers and fill the needs on the Childs list. They can buy for mom, dad, sister, brother, and anyone else on the list. We have underwritten each gift so the cost will not exceed two dollars. Safe to say this is not a fund raiser. We are just living out one of our core values, “to meet the needs of our community”. I hope this helps and I know it will be fun for us.

I remember as a kid myself how fun it was to shop and get something for my parents that they didn’t know was coming. I hope that we can make this happen for some kids in our community.

Hey I guess I better start thinking about spring and see if I can’t do a little better. Where did I put the weed whacker ……..?

I hope to chat with all again soon

Building a Blog

It was really an education to me when I began looking at creating a Blog. I thought it would be an easy process. I was so naïve. I didn’t have a clue. First what site to Blog on, My space, Face Book, and dozens of others. As I started I knew I had to find a site that I wasn’t embarrassed to answer the questions. Not an easy task
Who would have thought in order to communicate with others it was necessary to know issues of sexual preference or even more personal questions. (Isn’t it wild that we can be asked questions more personal than details about our sex live.) Trust me there is nothing about my personal life that anyone, other than my wife, would be interested in.

I guess that is my first lesson in blogging, maybe the world has moved beyond measuring a person by their thoughts and intellect. Maybe we have grown beyond needing to know what is on a person’s mind or what is important to them. I hope not.

It is my hope that we are able to feel good about ourselves and we have a greater future than we might even know, and that its more important “what” we are doing than “who” we are “doing it” with.

I look forward to talking with you more.
